Flower Bucket CSA - 4 WEEK SHARE

Flower Bucket CSA - 4 WEEK SHARE

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, a business model that allows people to invest in and support local farms (and farmers), in exchange for a share of the goods grown on the farm.  A flower CSA is no different!  You buy a share of the Flowers grown by our family at BridleWood Blooms and in return you will get, fresh, lush, seasonal blooms, chosen by Christa, for your investment.

As a member you will receive a weekly bucket of top quality, organically-grown flowers, at a far better price than if purchased at retail. When you join BridleWood Blooms’ Fresh Flowers CSA, you’ll be getting blooms that have been grown without any synthetic chemicals in a field where nurturing nature through biodiversity and organic practices is top priority. We grow our flowers right here on the farm (yes, you may schedule a visit!), and they are usually picked the same morning that members collect their share! This is in stark contrast to the ‘tired’ flowers at the supermarket that have been shipped in from South America or Africa and were picked often weeks earlier.

How It Works

Place your order here for your Bucket Share of ready-to-arrange Seasonal Blooms! Once we receive your order, we will then get in touch with you via email (within 48 hours) to confirm the following information:

Start Month: You may choose to begin your 4 week share the first Friday of the month in either June, July, August, and/or September. .

Pick Up Location, Day & Timing: Members will collect their bucket of fresh-picked flowers each week, at our farm: 2891 State Route 23, Hillsdale NY (Note: we are also home to The Berkshire Pottery), on Friday, between 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM….or possibly the Great Barrington Farmers Market (see below)

Gift Card: If you are giving a CSA share as a gift, we can provide a lovely card explaining your thoughtful and unique gift. Let us know if you would prefer a paper or electronic card and where to send it.

Bucket shares are not pre-arranged, but rather an assortment of flowers and foliage that members use to create their own bouquets at home.

Bucket shares are stuffed to the brim and come in a 6 quart bucket that you return each week when you get your new batch of blooms. We clean the buckets and re-use them for the CSA throughout the season so there is no wasted packaging. The flowers in this share are loose stems, meaning they are not arranged in a bouquet. (With advance notice, members have the option to add a bouquet to their share any week if they need more flowers for a special occasion or gift.)

The bucket share is a great choice for members who love to create their own arrangements and wish to have multiple bouquets around the house. It is also great for local restaurants that want to fill bud vases on their table and have flowers on the hostess station.

You can share your share!! If you think you don’t want a new batch every week, consider splitting it with a friend, and alternate weeks, or if you might be going on vacation during the summer, you can absolutely have someone else pick up your share whenever you like. Just keep us posted about your plans.

Can’t Pick Up on Fridays?: We will hold your bucket in our cooler overnight, and bring it to the Great Barrington Farmers Market for you to pick up between 9 and 11 AM. Any bucket left later than 11 is at serious risk of us losing track of it, in the crowds that ensue…and the heat is no good for flowers, PLEASE COME EARLY!

Buy more than one share for a longer season of blooms! If you'd like to have more than 4 weeks of flowers from our farm in your home or business, simply order more than one share here in the online shop and we will coordinate with you to receive your share throughout the summer. For example, order 2 shares and get 8 weeks of flowers! Or specify non consecutive months, you decide!

We look forward to seeing your smiling faces on our farm this year! Thank you for the opportunity to add more beauty to your world!

Christa, Martin, Sarah, Rachael and Matthias
